Texts and settings
Collections, texts, tags, and settings are stored in the device's private app storage. The app does not send them to its own server. Earlier versions may have stored session data locally; the current version does not expose History or Evaluation screens.
Microphone
Microphone permission is requested when you choose voice commands or a microphone test. Short commands are recognized on the device. The app does not save audio recordings or upload microphone audio to its own server. Buttons-only use does not require microphone permission.
Reading voices
To read your text aloud, the app passes it to the speech service installed on Android. Version 1.1.6 lists and selects only installed voices that the service reports as not requiring Internet while speaking. It has no online-voice option or age check. Installing a new voice may require a temporary Internet connection. Review the privacy policy of the speech service you select in Android.
Import, export, and backups
TXT and collection-backup imports and exports use the location you choose through Android. Exported files are not encrypted. If you choose a cloud service as the destination, that service may store the file in your account. The app's backup includes collections and their settings, excluding general preferences and history. The app does not provide automatic synchronization or Android cloud backup.
Data security
App data is kept in the private app storage provided by Android. The app has no server for uploading texts or audio recordings. Files you choose to export leave that private storage and are not encrypted by the app. If you choose a cloud service as an export destination, that service's security practices also apply.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains on the device until you delete it. Deleting a collection removes that collection, but old session data created by earlier versions may remain. To remove all app data, clear its data in Android Settings or uninstall the app. Files exported outside the app must be deleted from the location where you saved them.
